It’s a family affair

Lee Haddix is the second-generation owner and Christopher Haddix will be the third-generation owner.

We grew with Midland

The company was heavily involved in new home construction in the early years, as well as residential and commercial service. As Midland grew and our community expanded, more and larger buildings required different skills and talents. The company adapted to these needs with a larger workforce, modern technologies, and new and expanding product lines.

An expanding repertoire

Air conditioning, radiant heating, heat pumps, ventilation requirements, and building codes became part of our business as homeowners’ needs evolved. Many commercial jobs required larger rooftop heating and cooling equipment and more sophisticated control systems. Larger buildings required larger boilers and ventilation systems and more complex energy-efficient equipment.

Industrial work

The company was involved in industrial work for Dow Corning beginning in the early 1960’s. This involved process piping, plumbing and general pipefitting, welding, and fabrication. The work was primarily for the Dow Corning plants in Midland and Hemlock. With cutbacks by our industrial customers, the work concluded in the 1980’s.

What we are known for

Beginning in the late 1970’s, one of the mainstays of our business became installing and maintaining high-efficiency heating and cooling equipment. Along with water-saving plumbing fixtures, providing heating and cooling equipment continues to be one of the most important aspects of our business.

Over the years, the manufacturers of these products have continued to improve and refine their furnaces, air conditioners, and ventilation products. This has allowed us to, in turn, to offer better products to homeowners and businesses.
